Role Summary and Impact As the Director, Talent Acquisition, you will be a pivotal leader responsible for defining, driving, and executing WPP Media's global talent acquisition strategy from a sourcing and engagement perspective. You will lead a high-performing team of Talent Engagement Managers and Specialists, empowering them to deliver proactive, data-driven talent intelligence and innovative sourcing strategies that enable WPP Media to attract, engage, and secure top-tier talent across all levels and regions. This role demands a strategic visionary who can translate business objectives into actionable talent acquisition initiatives, optimize operational excellence, and champion WPP Media as an employer of choice in a highly competitive market. You will be instrumental in shaping our future workforce by building robust talent pipelines and fostering a culture of continuous innovation within the talent engagement function. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Vision: - Define and champion the overarching global talent engagement and sourcing strategy, ensuring alignment with WPP Media's long-term business objectives, growth initiatives, and diversity, equity, and inclusion goals, including the strategic sourcing and recruitment of executive-level talent within the LATAM region. - Serve as a thought leader in talent acquisition, continuously identifying emerging trends, technologies, and best practices to maintain WPP Media's competitive edge in talent attraction. - Drive innovation within the talent engagement function, fostering a culture of experimentation, continuous improvement, and data-driven decision-making. Team Leadership & Development: - Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of Talent Engagement Managers and Specialists, providing strategic direction, mentorship, and career growth opportunities. - Cultivate a collaborative and empowering team environment that promotes excellence, accountability, and continuous learning. - Oversee performance management and talent calibration for the team, ensuring consistent delivery against strategic objectives. - Operational Excellence & Optimization: - Direct and optimize the end-to-end operations of the talent engagement function, implementing scalable processes, efficient workflows, and robust quality control measures to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality candidates. - Lead the strategic evaluation, selection, and implementation of sourcing technologies and tools, maximizing their utilization to enhance efficiency, candidate experience, and data insights. - Drive the strategic development and maximization of talent pipelines and the effective utilization of our ATS/CRM system as a critical talent intelligence hub. Market Intelligence & Competitive Advantage: - Lead advanced market intelligence initiatives, providing critical, data-driven insights on talent landscapes, competitive hiring trends, and compensation benchmarks to inform strategic workforce planning and talent acquisition decisions across the organization. - Proactively identify talent gaps and emerging skill needs, developing proactive strategies to build future capabilities. Stakeholder Engagement & Influence: - Build and nurture strategic partnerships with senior business leaders, HR Business Partners (HRBPs), hiring managers, and executive teams to deeply understand their talent needs and provide expert consultation on talent acquisition strategies. - Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on complex talent market dynamics and talent engagement challenges. - Collaborate cross-functionally with Employee Engagement, Marketing, and other departments to ensure a cohesive and compelling employer brand narrative. Impact Measurement & Reporting: - Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics that demonstrate the strategic impact, return on investment (ROI), and overall contribution of the talent engagement function to WPP Media's business success. - Present regular, insightful reports to senior leadership, highlighting trends, achievements, and strategic recommendations. - Employer Branding & Candidate Experience: - Lead the strategic development and execution of WPP Media's employer branding initiatives, positioning us as a premier employer of choice in the media industry. - Champion an exceptional candidate experience throughout the entire talent engagement lifecycle, reflecting WPP Media's values and culture. Requirements: - 10+ years of progressive experience in talent acquisition, talent sourcing, or a related HR leadership function, with a significant portion dedicated to strategic leadership and team management. - Proven experience leading and scaling teams of talent acquisition professionals, including managers, with a track record of developing talent and fostering high-performing cultures. - Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing comprehensive talent sourcing and engagement strategies at a global or regional level within a complex, fast-paced organization. - Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to translate complex business objectives into innovative and effective talent acquisition solutions. - Deep understanding of talent market dynamics, competitive intelligence, and advanced sourcing methodologies and technologies. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data to drive insights, inform strategy, and demonstrate ROI. - Outstanding communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships and effectively engaging with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership. - Experience in the media, advertising, or creative industries is highly preferred. Experience with global or multi-regional talent acquisition strategies (e.g., LATAM, EMEA, APAC) is a significant advantage. - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
