Rubrik Backup Administrator Role We are seeking an experienced Rubrik backup administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting enterprise backup and recovery operations. - Administer and support Rubrik backup infrastructure, including setup, policy configuration, and daily operations. - Monitor backup jobs and ensure successful completion of scheduled backups, resolving any failures or anomalies. - Perform restore operations for files, applications, databases, and virtual machines as needed by stakeholders. - Maintain and optimize backup policies, SLAs, and retention schedules in line with business requirements. - Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure coverage, compliance, and disaster recovery readiness. - Document backup configurations, recovery procedures, and incident response actions. - Support audit and compliance reporting related to data protection and recovery capabilities. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). - 3+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting Rubrik backup and recovery solutions. - Solid understanding of backup concepts, including RPO/RTO, deduplication, snapshot management, and immutability. - Experience backing up virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V) and physical workloads. - Familiarity with backup of applications and databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, Microsoft 365). - Proficiency in using Rubrik's interface, APIs, and reporting tools. - Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage and resolve backup/recovery incidents effectively. Nice to Have: - Experience integrating Rubrik with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) for hybrid backup and archival. - Knowledge of Rubrik Polaris for security and compliance. - Familiarity with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, REST APIs). - Exposure to other enterprise backup tools (e.g., Commvault, Veeam, NetBackup). - Understanding of data governance, retention, and legal hold policies.
