Nationwide, Colombia | Posted on 05/05/2025 The HR BI Analyst will be involved in the design, delivery, and maintenance of People and Culture (P&C) reporting and analytics. This role will help ensure data integrity and accuracy in P&C systems that are utilized to support effective governance. The analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to provide insights and support decision-making. You will play an important role on the HR Systems & Process team, evolving People Analytics at Softchoice by consulting with colleagues and providing HR dashboards and reports using tools like PowerBI. Your technical capabilities will enable the extraction of data from systems and the production of high-accuracy reports for compliance, performance, and monitoring. What you’ll do: Support the planning and development of reporting dashboards using data mining analytics and reporting tools (SuccessFactors Stories & PowerBI). Contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining data and statistical models, including complex data manipulation from multiple sources to generate insights. Collaborate with P&C (HR) and other departments to understand data needs. Partner with business analysts across Softchoice to enable cross-functional analysis. Ensure reporting data is presented in an understandable and user-friendly format for customers. Engage colleagues in defining requirements, develop technical specifications, analyze data flow, and perform testing for report execution. Perform audits to ensure high-quality reporting. Support the assessment of changes in SAP bi-annual releases to determine their impact on reporting and analytics. Use HR system and process knowledge to analyze and troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, and implement resolutions. Assist colleagues in leveraging reporting tools to meet their needs. Participate in creating and maintaining Knowledge-Based Documentation (KBDs) related to reports and dashboards for knowledge sharing and job shadowing. Maintain current knowledge of reporting and analytics trends and best practices. Requirements What you’ll bring to the table: Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, management analytics, math, statistics, computer science, or related field. 2+ years of experience in HR analytics or a similar role. Enrolled or completed Data Analytics certification or programs (Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst or People Analytics programs) is beneficial. An understanding of HR fundamentals with some HR operations experience is an asset. Technical skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with data visualization tools like PowerBI or Tableau. Familiarity with HCM systems such as SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, etc. Understanding of database management systems and working with large datasets. Knowledge of ETL processes for data integration. Ability to perform statistical analysis to interpret data trends. Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of governance controls, data modeling, master data management, and data standardization. Soft skills: Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex data sets. Effective communication skills to convey data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Problem-solving skills for resolving data-related issues. High attention to detail and accuracy.
