The DevOps Engineer will work closely with the development team to manage AWS services, automate deployment processes, and ensure the scalability, security, and reliability of our platform. Key Responsibilities: Infrastructure Management: Oversee the cloud infrastructure on AWS, ensuring optimal performance and cost efficiency. Manage and optimize AWS services, including Elastic Beanstalk, CodePipeline, RDS, and S3. Implement and manage load balancers, specifically addressing issues with Target Group configurations and SSL forwarding ports. CI/CD Pipeline: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment. Ensure smooth integration of new code deployments, minimizing downtime and errors. Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices across the infrastructure, including data encryption, access controls, and monitoring. Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations. Monitoring and Alerting: Set up and manage monitoring tools to track system performance, identify issues, and ensure rapid response to incidents. Configure alerts and automate incident response for key infrastructure components. Collaboration: Work closely with the development team to streamline DevOps practices and improve deployment processes. Provide support and guidance on infrastructure-related issues to ensure smooth operations. Qualifications: Technical Skills: 3+ years of experience in DevOps or a similar role. Strong experience with AWS, including Elastic Beanstalk, CodePipeline, RDS, and S3. Proficiency in managing CI/CD pipelines and automation tools. Solid understanding of infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation). Experience with monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar. Professional Skills: Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Ability to work independently in a remote environment. Experience in a fast-paced startup environment is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in fintech, payroll, or a similar industry. Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
