Key Responsibilities: World Vision’s Global Communications team is looking for a talented graphic designer who can help us deliver on Our Promise to the world’s most vulnerable children through the delivery of high-quality, high-impact design projects. Technical skillsets required include excellence working with mainstream graphic design programs, particularly Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Canva. Familiarity working with other related programs and experience developing motion assets (eg, After Effects) would be helpful. The ideal candidate will be comfortable self-managing multiple simultaneous projects to produce a wide range of assets with varying degrees of complexity and deadlines and able to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders from different cultures and time zones. It is important that this person be able to work quickly and deliver under deadline pressure when required to do so. Past experience working on projects that have been part of a campaign or aligned to a common set of brand guidelines for a large company or organisation is an asset, as is experience working as part of a creative team or studio. Key Job Responsibilities: (a) Graphic design concept development, including: ability to work with clients to ascertain needs and desired outcomes for projects support production of graphic elements through creation of visual and creative aids such as storyboards, outlines, mock-ups and other resources to aid the client in developing the final product provide input guided by understanding of current trends, audience needs, best practises, technical solutions and options, etc. working with stakeholders through the end of the project to receive and implement feedback and to ensure final output meets expectations. (b) Graphic design editing and production, including: sourcing clips from content producers and Story Hub including graphic elements as appropriate integrating rounds of feedback producing multiple versions of the same project for different platforms uploading final projects and related project files to World Vision’s digital asset management system. (c) Provide training on effective design Work with key staff to improve their ability to create effective designs; provide templates and recommendation on software, platforms and training options. Contribute to Global Marketing and Communications engagement efforts that build team unity, collaboration and trust. (d) Administration related to planning and delivering graphic design projects. Required Education, Skill, and Professional Experience : Certificate or diploma in graphic design or similar Portfolio of previous graphic design projects Four to five years’ experience with an agency, design house or other professional production environment Experience collaborating with teams in diverse locations and from different backgrounds Comfort working to short deadlines and demonstrated interpersonal skills to work with multiple stakeholders on several projects simultaneously Experience providing different styles and kind of assets with a similar look and feel in alignment with overall branding guidance Delivery of finished assets and relevant project files to allow for local adaptation Experience working with a digital asset management platform to source material. Excellent knowledge of graphic design and image editing. Experience using generative AI to develop multilingual versions of English-language assets. Familiarity with advanced digital asset management systems is an asset.
