Responsibilities - Lead anddrive the development and implementation of highly complex SAPCommerce backend features, customizations, and integrations,setting standards for Java, the Spring Framework, and clean codeprinciples (e.g., core commerce, search, OMS) across the team. -Own the design, development, maintenance, and troubleshootingstrategy for complex backend data integrations, championing theeffective use of SAP Commerce Integration Objects to connect withexternal systems (e.g., CPQ) within intricate B2B environments. -Establish and enforce high standards for backend code quality,performance, and stability in Java/Spring-based development; leadrigorous code reviews, define automated testing strategies (e.g.,JUnit, Mockito), and provide senior technical mentorship toengineering teams. - Spearhead the troubleshooting and resolutionof the most complex and critical SAP Commerce backend issues (Javacode, integrations, data), lead performance tuning initiatives(SQL/FlexibleSearch, caching, SOLR), and guide the team ineffectively utilizing logs and APM tools. - Drive and significantlyinfluence backend technical design and architecture for Java/Spring-based SAP Commerce solutions, ensuring optimalscalability, security, maintainability, and acting as a keytechnical liaison with architects and stakeholders. - Proactivelyresearch, evaluate, and champion advancements in SAP CommerceCloud, Java, and Spring Framework; lead initiatives to identify,evaluate, and implement significant backend technical improvements,and guide the team through platform upgrades. Minimum Requirements - Possess 8+ years of extensive, hands-on SAP Commerce Cloud(Hybris) backend development and architectural experience,demonstrating mastery of its base programming language (Java) andcore framework (Spring - including Core, MVC, Security, Data,Integration), alongside expert-level knowledge of platform modulesand data models. - Proven track record architecting and leading thedevelopment of backend solutions for highly complex B2B SAPCommerce implementations, with deep, mandatory hands-on expertisedesigning and implementing robust data exchange using SAP CommerceIntegration Objects. Prior project leadership involving CPQintegration is strongly preferred. - Expert-level understanding ofthe SAP Commerce platform architecture, including nuancedapplication of the type system, advanced optimization of thepersistence layer (FlexibleSearch, ORM), strategic implementationof caching strategies (RegionCache, Ehcache), mastery of SOLRsearch/indexing configuration and optimization, and sophisticateddata management using ImpEx. - In-depth practical experience andstrategic understanding of SAP Commerce Cloud (CCv2) environments,including leading best practices for code repository management(Git), optimizing build/deployment processes (using CloudPortal/CI/CD tooling), leveraging cloud monitoring tools (e.g.,Dynatrace, Splunk/OpenSearch) for proactive issue resolution, andarchitecting solutions considering headless (Spartacus) integrationpoints. - Extensive experience leading development efforts within Agile/Scrum methodologies, expertly utilizing tools like Jira and Confluence for planning and documentation, combined with advancedproficiency in backend debugging techniques, logging frameworks(e.g., Log4j2), and leading performance analysis/tuning efforts forbackend code and database queries. - SAP Certified DevelopmentProfessional highly desired.
