The position will be part of the Controller's group within Finance division, reporting to the Director, LAC Division Controllers Group. Responsibilities include ensuring the integrity and accuracy of financials for the supported Region/Business Unit and compliance with external and corporate accounting standards. Provide accounting advice, challenge, and validate various accounting treatments, and communicate them effectively to ensure proper understanding and application by regional teams and stakeholders. Execute and monitor month-end-close activities and liaise with GBSC to ensure accuracy of results and maintain open communication. Guide financial decisions related to business transactions by providing accounting/regulatory advice and enforcing policies and procedures. Support, monitor, and enforce operational and SOX financial controls to ensure a strong control environment. Participate in developing and implementing process improvements to enhance operational controls, efficiency, and output quality. - Extensive experience in accounting controls and financial processes within a global organization or Big 4 Firm; a mix of industry and Big 4 experience is preferred. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA is a plus. - Active CPA or Chartered Accountant or equivalent certification. - Strong technical accounting knowledge, including US and/or IFRS standards. - Knowledge of Internal Controls concepts and Sarbanes-Oxley regulations. - Proficiency with accounting and finance systems/software applications. - Results-driven, flexible, adaptable, and able to work efficiently under pressure and deadlines, with a proven ability to improve processes. - Problem solver and team player with attention to detail and focus on accuracy. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong presentation skills. - Strong analytical and financial skills. - Ability to navigate ambiguous concepts and issues to bring clarity to stakeholders.
