This is a 30-hour-per-week position with additional hours required during deployment. General Summary Seeking a highly experienced technical professional to provide specialized subject matter expertise in SATCOM, electromagnetic warfare, and integrated system deployment and sustainment. This role requires advanced knowledge of military and aerospace communication systems, field integration operations, and rapid-reaction engineering in support of Department of Defense programs. *Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential functions): - Applies expert-level systems engineering and field integration experience to assess, design, implement, and troubleshoot military SATCOM and space control systems. - Provides advanced operational insight and technical leadership in support of space electromagnetic warfare (SEW) mission systems, ensuring mission continuity and system effectiveness. - Collaborates with internal engineering and R&D; teams to translate mission-critical operational needs into viable system architectures and field-ready configurations. - Develops and documents complex system designs, technical orders, and integration processes in accordance with MIL-STD requirements and DoD acquisition policy. - Engages directly with military end-users, developers, and test organizations to field and sustain advanced systems; may deploy to austere environments to resolve real-time operational challenges. - Provides training, system characterization, and geolocation expertise in support of electromagnetic interference (EMI) detection and signal analysis. - Supports proposal efforts by creating architecture diagrams, writing white papers, and providing technical input to capture teams. - May lead interdisciplinary teams or serve as the senior technical expert on government contracts, guiding delivery across engineering, logistics, and operational support functions.
