A CSE is a product technical expert, acting as consultant and technical advisor to the field technical presales teams. The CSE engages in large impact deals across a range of industries by providing expert advice on the design, architecture and implementation of solutions that best meet the specific customer needs. The CSE works alongside with peer engineering teams that may be involved throughout the sales process. The CSE is expected to shape the positive outcome of customer engagements such as presentations, meetings, demonstrations and proof of concept (POC) activities. The CSE is a highly visible resource, acting as an interface between product management and field sales for covered solutions in a unique position to collaborate and influence product direction. **Responsibilities**: - Support sales activities in Latin America as a strategic and high-level regional technical resource for strategic pre-sales engagements and key opportunities. - Conduct technical meetings with customers and resellers to highlight our products and solutions. - Provide pre-sales technical support to Fortinet Sales representatives, Fortinet resellers and distributors, in order to positively influence sales within Latin America. - Assist Fortinet Sales representatives to perform technical design of security solutions for customers. Recommend the best technical solution for a given scenario, in order to provide quality products and services to Fortinet’s customers - Participate with SE peers to lead the design and architecture of secure IP networks utilizing and leveraging all aspects of Fortinet’s product line to create superior solutions in competitive environments. - Provide training to System Engineers at various events worldwide and mentor SE specialists within Virtual Teams. - Work closely with Product Management and Engineering to help identify, qualify, and develop features critical to Fortinet’s success. - Work with Fortinet’s marketing teams to help understand specific market needs in order to drive the appropriate activities that can impact positively market’s perception towards Fortinet. - Create technical documents that can help the partner base to perform better/quicker/ demonstration demos to effectively show Fortinet’s products strengths. - Create/Modify/translate presentations as needed to effectively deliver Fortinet’s message to any type of audience - Be part of the internal engineering communities (Tech Teams, Mailing lists) and assist others within or outside the region, in order to make Fortinet more successful as a company - Be part of a distributed team of people that shares workload and assignments. Strong sense of teamwork is required. - Take internal training as needed (including self-training modules) in order to keep product knowledge at the best possible, and be an expert resource for resellers, partners, distributors and other peers. - Comply with activity reports and ensure timely communication with CSE Manager / CSE Director. - Regional and international travel required with short notice **Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)**: - Minimum 10 years technical experience in networking/computing - Extensive and proven experience in designing, building and supporting advanced security solutions in a customer facing role. 5+ years related experience. - Strong network and security skills including hands-on experience with products from top security vendors. Good understanding of networking technologies. - Deep understanding of: - IP networks (switching & routing) - Application level protocols such as SMTP, DNS, HTTP, SSL, LDAP, RADIUS. - 802.11 Wireless Technologies - NAC and network authentication technology a plus - Proven hands-on experience with Fortinet’s enhanced technologies such as FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiNAC, FortiAuthenticator highly desirable. - Good knowledge and understanding of Public Cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (desirable). - Ability to travel on short notice. - Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and presentation skills. Capable of delivering product and technology presentations to technical and business audiences. - Outstanding consultative skills. Ability to interpret the specific customer environment and security needs, and articulate the best technical solution. - Outstanding project management and documentation skills.
