About The Business Area/department Where to fly, when to fly, what to fly... The art of network planning and scheduling is at the heart of airlines. It defines what an Airline intends to fly for a specific future period including routes, timing, aircraft assignments, and rotations. It must also satisfy operational constraints such as crew, aircraft maintenance, airport curfews, passenger types (business, leisure, booking habits), and consider uncertain future environments like competition or pandemic evolution. At Amadeus, we aim to reinvent network planning with "Sky Suite," a next-generation suite of optimization, simulation, and data analytics solutions to enhance airline efficiency and profitability. Job Title Principal UI/UX Designer Responsibilities Create user-interface designs considering usability/UX principles and best practices. Collaborate with customers and the project team to translate requirements into functional, user-friendly interfaces. Run ideas and design workshops when necessary. Create wireframes and low-fidelity mock-ups, and drive review and approval processes. Review and test delivered software to ensure usability and adherence to UI design principles. Analyze testing feedback and iterate on designs accordingly. Stay updated with industry trends and inspire the team to improve application designs. Document solutions, ideas, and best practices. Ideal Candidate Degree in UX/UI design or related field, or 5+ years of industry experience. Portfolio demonstrating multiple projects. Creativity, visual design skills, and familiarity with Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, or Adobe Suite. Experience with low and high-fidelity design practices. Experience designing desktop and web solutions, with design artifacts in WPF and React preferred. Awareness of accessibility and responsiveness. Experience with end-user testing and agile development. Good communication, team spirit, mentorship skills, and customer focus.
