Job Description SO/ Sotogrande, a prestigious golf resort located in the beautiful Sotogrande, Spain, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Pro Golf to lead our golf operations. This exciting opportunity combines your passion for golf with your leadership skills to deliver exceptional experiences for our members and guests. Golf Operations & Customer Experience Oversees all golf operations of the club to deliver the highest standards of excellence in member participation, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all golfers. Implement and enforce policies and procedures to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Maintain a strong presence around the course and clubhouse, engaging with golfers and staff to ensure high service standards. Teaches golf lessons and clinics to VIP members and guests. Creates a service-oriented atmosphere that promotes the game of golf and meets clients' needs. Ensures that clients provide a high level of customer service. Staff Management & Leadership Support the recruitment, training, scheduling, and management of golf operations staff, including pro shop attendants, outside service personnel, and assistants. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment, ensuring staff is motivated and well-equipped to provide top-tier service. Provide coaching and professional development opportunities to enhance team performance. Ensure effective orientation and training of each new associate. Develop ongoing training programs. Tournaments & Leagues Plan, organize, and execute tournaments, leagues, and special events, ensuring seamless operations and great player experiences. Collaborate with local golf organizations, community groups, and municipal partners to expand golf participation. Compile detailed records of all non-golf related facility usage for internal tracking. Administrative & Financial Oversight Manage tee time reservations, pace of play, and course utilization to optimize efficiency. Oversee pro shop operations, including merchandise selection, inventory control, and retail sales strategies. Assist with financial reporting and other administrative duties as assigned. Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety protocols, and municipal policies. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications & Experience Previous experience as a Head Golf Professional or a highly experienced Assistant Golf Professional at a high-volume facility is preferred. Demonstrated success in managing golf operations, staff leadership, tournament execution, and customer engagement. Key Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and team-building skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach. Excellent communication and customer service skills to create a welcoming and professional environment. Ability to multitask, stay organized, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment. Passion for player development, community engagement, and growing the game of golf. Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and peak golf season hours. High level of English and Spanish.
