As a FICO Functional Analyst … You will be a key member of the Software and Data Development Team, responsible for the portfolio of SAP FICO applications, transactions, and jobs. This role plays a critical part in developing, optimizing, and supporting business processes related to financial accounting, controlling, taxation, and integration with other SAP modules. The candidate will actively participate in projects, enhancements, and support tasks aligned with the module's business requirements. They will work throughout the project lifecycle (analysis, configuration, testing, implementation, and support) to address dynamic business needs, particularly in a multi-country retail environment. What will your day to day look like? Collect, analyze, and document business needs related to financial and controlling processes. Propose and recommend value-added solutions to improve financial and controlling operations. Configure SAP FICO modules (FI-GL, FI-AP, FI-AR, Asset Accounting, Controlling, etc.) to meet business requirements. Design and manage integration between SAP FICO and other modules (MM, SD, etc.). Develop and configure solutions for localization (tax compliance, electronic invoicing, bank integration, etc.) for multiple countries. Write functional specifications for ABAP developers and ensure the successful execution of developments. Execute and document unit and acceptance tests for new functionalities. Design and apply configuration changes based on requirements need. Analyze and debug (highly valued) production issues along with developers. What do you need to be successful? Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or computer science, or a related field. 5+ years’ experience in implementation and/or support as a functional analyst specializing in SAP FICO. Previous work in a retail environment, particularly involving multi-country operations, is highly valued. Experience with localization (e.g., tax compliance, electronic invoicing) and integration with external systems (e.g., banks, OpenText). In-depth knowledge of SAP FICO modules with technical expertise and custom developments. Familiarity with other SAP modules (MM, SD, PI); experience with BI, BPC, or Treasury modules is an asset. Good interpersonal and communication skills for working with end-users and cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and leadership skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. SAP and other certification are desirable. Bilingualism (English and Spanish) is essential.
