About The Role: We are seeking a motivated and energetic Business Development Representative (BDR) to be the engine of our sales pipeline. You will be the first point of contact for potential clients, responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. Your primary goal is to connect with key decision-makers in the cannabis space, understand their marketing challenges, and schedule qualified meetings for our Account Executives. This role is perfect for a self-starter with a hunter mentality who is excited about making a tangible impact in a booming industry. Job Responsibilities: Prospect & Identify: Proactively identify and research potential clients in the cannabis sector, including dispensaries and brands, using tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry directories, and CRM data. Strategic Outreach: Execute targeted outbound campaigns through a combination of cold calling, personalized email sequences, and social selling to generate initial interest. Book Meetings: Your primary Key Performance Indicator (KPI) will be scheduling qualified discovery meetings and product demos for our Account Executive team. Maintain CRM Hygiene: Meticulously log all activities, communications, and notes in our CRM (e.g., Pipedrive / HubSpot) to ensure a clean pipeline and seamless handover to the sales team. Collaborate & Strategize: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to refine lead generation strategies, improve messaging, and provide feedback from the front lines. Become a Subject Matter Expert: Stay current on digital advertising trends, cannabis industry news, and state-by-state regulations to communicate with prospects effectively and credibly. Qualifications: Required: 1-2+ years of experience in a BDR, Sales Development Representative (SDR), or similar outbound sales role, preferably in a B2B environment. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. You are confident, articulate, and a great listener. Unwavering resilience and a positive attitude in the face of rejection. A high degree of self-motivation, organization, and time management skills. You know how to manage your day for maximum results in a remote setting. Experience working with a CRM (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Bonus Points (Preferred): Experience in a marketing agency or SaaS company. A strong, demonstrable interest in or experience with the legal cannabis industry. Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts, particularly paid advertising on Google Ads or Meta Ads (PPC, ROAS). Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
