We develop high-impact B2B platforms that connect global brands, buyers, and innovators across Latin America and the Caribbean. We are currently seeking a high-performing and commercially driven Sales Manager to strengthen the commercial development of our trade fairs and events in Colombia. The ideal candidate is passionate about sales, goal-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in using CRM systems and database tools to manage client relationships effectively. Position Overview As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving commercial success by actively identifying and securing exhibitor participation, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and supporting the strategic development of Koelnmesse's trade fairs and events in the region. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Koelnmesse's international commercial agents to ensure proper lead follow-up, accurate communication, updated client data, and a smooth customer experience throughout the sales process. Key Responsibilities - Sales & Business Development: - Identify and pursue new business opportunities, prepare commercial offers, follow up with prospects, and close sales in alignment with the event's goals. - CRM and Database Management: - Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records using CRM tools (such as HubSpot) and ensure consistent tracking of clients and leads in both Colombian and German systems. - Commercial Follow-Up: - Provide continuous follow-up on proposals and commercial communications to ensure timely closures and client satisfaction. - Client Communication: - Ensure that all clients and prospects receive accurate and complete information about each trade fair or event, tailored to their interests. - Support to Project Management: - Assist the Project Manager with client support and fair development tasks as needed. - International Coordination: - Work closely with Koelnmesse's international sales network to align strategies, share updates, and ensure global outreach for each event. - Reporting & Forecasting: - Track sales pipeline performance, prepare reports, and support strategic decisions with commercial input. - Relationship Building: - Strengthen relationships with key clients, associations, institutions, and commercial partners to reinforce the long-term success of each project. Qualifications - Education: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, International Business, or related fields. - Experience: - Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales, ideally in trade fairs, events, or sectors such as design, architecture, furniture, or construction. - Skills: - Strong sales drive and client-service orientation. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - High attention to detail and structured follow-up habits. - Bilingual: Fluent in English and Spanish (German is a plus). - Proficient in CRM tools (HubSpot or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite. - Comfortable managing and maintaining large client databases. - Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Mobility: - Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as needed.
