We are looking for a Product Owner for a 100% Remote, 6 month +, 1099 contract. Employment Type: Contract Work, 40 hours weekly 100% Requirement: Must have good verbal & written communication (English) Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Product Owner with experience in SaaS products and Cloud Cost Management (FinOps) . This individual will play a key role in leading the vision, roadmap, and execution of cloud financial management capabilities across our client's platform. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with engineering, design, finance, and operations teams to deliver impactful solutions that empower customers to monitor, analyze, and optimize cloud expenditures—balancing performance, innovation, and cost-efficiency. Responsibilities: Own the product vision and roadmap for cloud cost optimization and FinOps initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and prioritize product features and enhancements. Translate customer and stakeholder needs into detailed product requirements and user stories. Monitor the market landscape and emerging trends in FinOps, SaaS, and cloud services to inform product direction. Drive continuous improvement of cloud financial visibility, budgeting, forecasting, and chargeback/showback features. Act as a FinOps evangelist—promoting cost-aware culture and driving education around cloud usage and optimization best practices. Measure product performance through KPIs, user feedback, and data analytics to inform future iterations. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in SaaS or cloud-native environments. Proven experience with cloud cost management / FinOps , including tools like AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing, CloudHealth, or Cloudability. Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and pricing models (on-demand, reserved, spot instances, etc.). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum product development methodologies. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to balance technical understanding with a strong business mindset. FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar credentials is a plus. Preferred Skills: Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid infrastructure strategies. Background working with engineering and finance teams to align cost control with business goals. Prior experience in financial forecasting, cloud budgeting, or usage optimization.
