Learning, Teaching, and Curriculum (LTC) department in the College of Education and Human Development. The overall mission of LTC is to meet societal needs through scholarship, education, and service. LTC's faculty are committed to preparing competent teachers, teacher educators, and educational researchers. Job Description Mizzou Academy's Academic Leads provide constructive feedback to promote student learning, monitor progress, and support success. They mentor content specialist teams and play a key role in course development, including content, activities, assignments, and exams. They also represent Mizzou Academy's values and mission in communications and presentations. This role is split between Mizzou Academy and the Department of Learning, Teaching, & Curriculum (LTC). LTC is dedicated to impactful research and preparing culturally competent educators and researchers. Duties Estimated percentages of responsibilities are provided, subject to change based on school needs. Priorities include supporting current students and responding to team needs. Mizzou Academy Duties (60%) Communication and Team Support (20%) : Represent Mizzou Academy, share expertise, support feedback, answer questions, explain processes, report information, encourage team collaboration, develop grading notes, and ensure consistent scoring. Grading (15%) : Provide feedback, grade courses, handle submissions, and model assessment practices. Management of Student Submissions (10%) : Monitor submissions, work with stakeholders, respond to inquiries, correct assignment issues, and collaborate on intervention plans. Development (10%) : Collect feedback, participate in course revisions, support course adjustments, and ensure courses meet standards. Professional Flexibility (5%) : Adapt to new projects and duties as needed. LTC Duties (40%) Provide instruction in social studies or related courses, collaborate on course design, and support student learning. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate in Education by the time of application. Evaluation Criteria: Missouri teaching certification for secondary social studies, course-writing experience, teaching in diverse contexts, online teaching experience, collegiate instruction, professional development support, mentoring, and familiarity with Canvas LMS.
