Job Description Academic Surgical Pathologist - Gastrointestinal and Pancreaticobiliary Pathology The Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences at the University of Missouri School of Medicine/University of Missouri Healthcare is seeking an academically oriented, AP board-certified surgical pathologist with fellowship training in Gastrointestinal and Pancreaticobiliary Pathology. This is a full-time appointment at the Assistant Professor rank on the non-tenure clinical track. We are looking for a GI/Liver pathologist to assist our current GI pathologist and participate in general surgical pathology sign-out. The surgical pathology practice handles approximately 20,000 cases annually, with a diverse case variety. Subspecialty sign-out is available for neuropathology, eye pathology, hematopathology, gynecological pathology, and GI/Liver pathology. Opportunities exist for clinical and translational research within the Department and the larger UHMC system, including Ellis Fischel Cancer Center and the Columbia campus. Job Responsibilities Participate in diagnostic sign-out of subspecialty areas and contribute to surgical pathology frozen section services. Contribute to medical student and resident education, and develop research projects aligned with personal interests.
