Job Description: Slang is teaching professional English across Latin America. We're a global startup operating in over 15 countries in the region, working with hundreds of companies to help their teams master English in real workplace contexts. Responsibilities: - Build models, processes, and insights that help us understand our cost structure, forecast performance, and make strategic decisions with clarity. - Track payments and invoices, support monthly close cycles, and build models that predict gross margin and service-level profitability. - Ensure financial processes are running smoothly across all our key markets in Latin America. - Map invoices correctly, collaborate with local accountants, and flag any issues proactively. Requirements: - A degree in Finance, Business, Management, or Industrial Engineering. - At least 1.5 years of relevant experience in finance roles such as controlling, reporting, or financial planning. - Advanced Excel skills. - Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail. - Proven financial modeling experience — you've worked directly with financial models and know how to build and refine them. - Highly proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working independently. - Resilient and committed — you'll be exposed to sensitive financial information and must maintain focus and maturity. - Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to solve problems quickly and creatively. - Effective interpersonal and communication skills — you know how to keep processes smooth when working with clients, teammates, and accountants. - English level of B2 or higher (upper-intermediate or above) — this is essential for communicating with US-based colleagues and reporting clearly and effectively. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in a startup, tech company, or SaaS environment. - Familiarity with accounting or financial operations across Latin America. - Exposure to ERPs, financial software, or automation tools. - Experience with gross margin or cost modeling for digital services.
