Software Engineer We are seeking a skilled software engineer to join our team. As an engineer at our company, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our software applications. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications - Maintain and improve existing software applications - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements - Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field - Proficiency in C++ programming language - Good debugging and profiling skills - Experience with memory management on small embedded systems - At least 2 years of professional experience as a programmer - Create high-performance, robust, maintainable code in a cross-platform environment - Evaluate existing technology architectures - Extend existing systems to meet long-term needs of ongoing development - Work with external development partners - Adhere to team coding standards and practice - Required to work independently and report to a manager - Other relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned to help complete company objectives Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with C, C#, HTML, Java, or HLSL/GLSL - Experience porting web engines to embedded connected devices such as smart TVs, smart appliances, and consumer media devices - Programming experience with runtime on embedded systems using C/C++ in resource-constrained environments (limited memory, CPU, GPU) - Solid understanding of multi-threaded programming - Effective communicator in a team-oriented environment - Experience with the current PC development process Plus Factors: - Familiarity with contemporary engines (Unreal, Unity, Godot, Source, etc.) - Familiarity with contemporary platforms (Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, Steam Deck, etc.) - A passion for video games and game development - Previous experience with rendering, graphics, or optimization
