Job Summary The Case Reviewer Team Leader T Visa is responsible for overseeing and supporting a team of case reviewers who specialize in T Visa applications for victims of human trafficking. This role ensures that all submissions meet legal standards, internal quality guidelines, and client expectations. The Team Leader provides technical guidance, manages workflows, supports performance development, and acts as the main point of escalation for complex or sensitive cases. The role requires deep knowledge of humanitarian immigration relief and strong leadership skills to maintain high-quality case outcomes while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties Team Leadership : Supervise and guide the T Visa case review team, ensuring performance and quality goals are met. Case Oversight: Review and validate T Visa applications for accuracy, legal compliance, and completeness. Quality Control: Implement review protocols and conduct spot checks to maintain consistency and legal standards. Training & Development: Onboard new team members and provide ongoing training on T Visa processes and best practices. Legal Coordination: Liaise with attorneys to align legal strategy and case review findings. Task Management: Distribute caseloads, track deadlines, and monitor progress via internal tools. Escalation Handling : Support team with complex or sensitive cases and oversee client communication when needed. Regulatory Updates: Stay informed on immigration law changes and ensure team adherence to current policies. Attorney Collaboration: Maintain consistent and proactive communication with attorneys to ensure alignment on case strategies, feedback, and legal updates. Required Qualifications Licensed attorney with a valid law degree and authorization to practice law. Experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor, ideally in immigration or legal services. Extensive experience managing or reviewing T Visa cases. Solid knowledge of USCIS procedures and immigration documentation. Strong analytical and attention-to-detail skills to identify legal inconsistencies. Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience managing remote and multicultural teams. Proficiency in case management systems and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Monday. High ethical standards, commitment to confidentiality, and alignment with diversity and inclusion values. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, both written, spoken and reading Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively lead the team, facilitate clear and timely information flow, and foster a collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and working with survivors of human trafficking. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt quickly to legal or procedural changes. Identifies inefficiencies and implements solutions to streamline operations and enhance productivity. Technical Requirements Computer Specification
A PC or Laptop with at least an Intel 8th Gen processor (Core i5 and above), AMD Ryzen 5 3000 series or above, with Windows 11, or a Mac M1 processor or above, with a minimum of 8 GB of RAM and a 256 GB SSD. Two screens/monitors. USB Wireless headset or a USB wired Headset. At least a 40 Mbps internet connection. It needs to be wired to minimize latency.
