Bebee Careers

The School of Languages, Literatures and Cultural Studies invites applications from candidates with exceptional research and teaching potential for this position of Assistant Professor in Intercultural Communications and Latin American Studies. This role is based in the Centre for Global Intercultural Communications, which focuses on developing and delivering short courses on Latin America for the broader public. Key responsibilities include contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision, particularly in business-related programmes involving Hispanic Studies. A notional split between Applied Intercultural Communications (60%) and Hispanic Studies (40%) guarantees the success of postgraduate programmes in Applied Intercultural Communications as a key priority. We welcome applicants with expertise in contemporary Latin American cultures, histories and societies, Spanish language, and applied intercultural communication, ideally for business, industry and enterprise purposes. Specialisations in cross-cultural management, business ethics and Latin American resources, EU-Latin America relations, and regional specialisations including the Pacific Alliance, Mercosur, Caribbean, and Latin American/European connections are highly valued. Applicants should provide information about their experience, research plans, teaching approaches, and sample syllabi when applying for this position.
