Job Title: Business Support Specialist I The University of Missouri School of Medicine, Department of Rural Health - Area Health Education Center within the Office of Medical Education, is pleased to announce an opening for a Business Support Specialist I. This role primarily handles daily transactional accounting and programmatic support within the department. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills, be flexible, diplomatic, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Primary Responsibilities: Providing fiscal support through processing and monitoring purchase orders, voucher payments, requisitions, general procurement, one-card reconciliation, expense account reconciliation, and reimbursements. Supporting travel-related activities, including scheduling, booking, auto-leasing, reconciliation, and reimbursement processing. Offering programmatic and administrative support for departmental programs, projects, and events, including scheduling, assisting with event logistics, and developing marketing materials. Assisting with credentialing and preceptor appointment setup, as well as processing affiliation agreements with teaching sites. Providing general administrative support such as room reservations, printing orders, catering, meeting arrangements, and recording minutes. Shift Details: Monday through Friday, 8 am - 5 pm. This position does not have fixed office hours but offers flexibility for alternative schedules. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, with comparable knowledge and skills acquired through education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Office suite. One year of relevant experience. Additional training in PeopleSoft, database management, and advanced Microsoft Office skills.
