Location: Bogotá, Distrito Capital. This is a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office and 2 days at home. Schedule: Mon-Fri, Business hours (between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm). Availability will be validated during the process. (Colombia time). We work alongside teams in India (therefore, we offer a 24/7 service) Language: Advanced English. Contract Type: Permanent contract. Requirements: Must to have: Over 7 years of experience in cloud database engineering. MS Azure Cosmos DB. MongoDB. Azure CLI. Azure Functions. Azure Logic Apps. Azure Data Factory. Microsoft SQL Server. PowerShell. Security Encryption, RBAC and Audit. Automation ARM Templates. Nice to have: Certification in Azure Database Administrator Associate or MongoDB Certified Developer. Responsibilities: Database Design & Implementation. Design and implement database solutions using Azure Cosmos DB and MongoDB best practices. Create data models, schemas, and database management processes tailored to application needs. Monitor and tune the performance of databases, including queries and indexing strategies. Implement best practices for data partitioning, sharding, and replication to ensure high availability and scalability. Implement security measures to protect sensitive data in compliance with relevant regulations. Monitor access control and audit logs to ensure data security practices are followed. Backup & Recovery Establish and manage backup and recovery processes for database environments to ensure data integrity and availability. Data Migration & Integration - Plan and execute data migration strategies from on-premises databases or other cloud systems to Azure Cosmos DB and MongoDB. Integrate databases with existing applications and services, ensuring seamless data flow. Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement database solutions that align with business objectives.
