Performs skilled clerical and administrative office support-related activities or complex quality control work. Employees at this level perform work independently on assignments; however, all unusual issues are referred to the supervisor.


The essential duties for this job include: Answers the telephone, evaluates requests, answers questions, routes messages and/or serves as receptionist or front desk assistant. Assists in the development and preparation of special reports. Edits correspondence/production work for proper format, spelling, grammar, punctuation, typographical errors, syntax, style, sentence structure, content and clarity. Maintains and updates office files/records/logs and suspense systems and a wide variety of automated systems in support of personnel, finance, budgeting, inventory, contracts, purchasing, travel and information. Maintains records and inventories of materials, supplies and equipment. Provides administrative support in an office and maintains a close and highly responsive relationship to the day-to-day activities of supervisors and staff. Reviews, prepares and/or negotiates applicable program purchases for services, office materials, supplies, tools and/or equipment and monitors contracts. Schedules meetings, appointments and makes travel arrangements. Uses database, spreadsheet and/or graphics software applications to prepare reports or presentations. Performs other job responsibilities as assigned.

This job requires the following: High School Grad or Equivalent in general high school studies

Work Experience

This job requires the following: 3 years in Clerical, Secretarial and/or Admin Support activities (Experience can be satisfied by fulltime or prorated parttime equivalent) No supervisory experience required. College education and /or relevant technical training may be substituted for experience on year per year basis.
