We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Communications Surveillance to join our ScotiaGBS team in Bogotá. The role of Senior Manager Communications Surveillance is crucial in ensuring the overall success of the Communications Surveillance team. This includes executing business strategies, plans, and initiatives in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Leadership: Lead a team of Managers and Senior Analysts in the execution of Global Communications Supervision Procedures. Direct and/or support reviewing activities to ensure they are conducted expertly, professionally, and effectively. - Business Knowledge: Maintain expert knowledge of Bank and GBM processes, policies, procedures, applications, and products related to Global Communications Supervision Procedures. - Documentation & Audit Readiness: Ensure the team keeps high-risk regulatory and operational controls current, along with other documentation that contributes to sustaining the Global Communications Supervision Procedures. - Global Communications Supervision: Manage the execution of GBM Communication Supervision Procedures, planning resources required for review alerts. - Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders and departments within GBM and International Banking. - Other Projects and Activities: Manage/perform ad-hoc, unique, and/or focused reviews as necessary. This role will lead and support the implementation, documentation, assessing, and oversight on the activities contained in Global Voice and Electronic Communications Policy, GBM Communication Supervision Procedures, and Communications Supervision Content Standards. The successful candidate will support Global Banking & Markets and International Banking. To be successful in this role, you will need a strong background in supervisory or senior compliance roles, with experience in communication surveillance. You will also require excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and negotiating skills. Strong written and verbal skills, good accountability and time-management skills, and ability to build strong cross-functional business relationships are essential.
