Overview We are seeking a highly organized and people-focused Design Team Manager to lead the Colombia location of the Art Department, Gallagher's Global in-house creative agency, in partnership with Global Art Department Leadership. This location is an extension of the Global Art Department and this role reports into the Global Creative Director. The ideal candidate is responsible for managing day-to-day operations for a mid-to-large size team, ensuring alignment with global workflows, and is passionate about enabling creative teams to do their best work. How you'll make an impact Responsibilities Lead, support, and mentor a diverse team including graphic designers, video editors, and motion designers. Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews to encourage development and engagement. Collaborate with team leads and the talent acquisition team to open new roles, review suitable candidates, and conduct initial interviews. Oversee the onboarding of new team members in Colombia, maintaining a positive and collaborative team culture. Work with team leads to continuously evaluate and document onboarding, training, and technical skills, identifying areas for improvement. Manage day-to-day operations of the Colombia Art Department, including work schedules, time-off requests, and staffing conflicts. Provide regular feedback to assist team leads in evaluating individual skills, aptitude, and potential for career growth, while also monitoring and assessing team and individual performance against goals/KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement, address staff issues, and mitigate potential attrition risks. Communicate design challenges, skill gaps, and quality control issues to team leads to optimize performance and enhance creative output. Maintain a current understanding of Global Art Department processes, workflows, SLAs, and Gallagher brand guidelines to ensure quality oversight and deliverables. Maintain a current understanding of Colombia HR and operational practices, process, and requirements to ensure team alignment and compliance. About you Requirements Minimum of 5 years managing mid-to-large creative teams. Professional and conversational fluency in English, with excellent oral/written communication skills. A team player who works collaboratively and respectfully with both local Gallagher leadership and global Art Department leadership. Empathetic leadership with a solution-oriented mindset and strong mentorship skills.
