The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee the storage, inventory management, and timely delivery of steel coils in Colombia. This position requires a high degree of organization and attention to detail to ensure seamless coordination between sales, logistics, and warehouse teams. Key Responsibilities: - Inventory Management: Supervise receipt, storage, and dispatch of steel coils to maintain accurate tracking and minimal discrepancies. - Warehouse Operations: Optimize layout for efficient space utilization and safe handling of materials such as forklift operations and coil stacking protocols. - Delivery Coordination: Partner with logistics providers and sales teams to schedule deliveries, resolve shipment issues, and meet deadlines. - Quality Control: Inspect incoming/outgoing coils for damage, compliance with specifications, and proper documentation. - Safety & Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, warehouse hygiene, and adherence to Colombian regulations (labor, environmental, etc.). - Team Leadership: Train and manage warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and safety. - Reporting: Maintain real-time inventory records using ERP/WMS systems; generate reports on stock levels, turnover rates, and operational KPIs. Qualifications & Experience: - Experience: 4–5 years in warehouse/logistics management, preferably in steel, metals, or heavy industrial sectors. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. - Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with steel coil handling, storage standards, and logistics challenges in Colombia. - Leadership: Proven ability to lead teams, prioritize tasks, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. - Languages: Spanish (fluent); English (preferred for port-related documentation). - Certifications: Forklift operation, OSHA/Warehouse safety training, or similar credentials (a plus). - Location: Must reside in or relocate to the Buenaventura area. Maintaining optimal stock levels and meeting customer delivery commitments are critical aspects of this role.
