This is a remote position. Job Highlights: Contract type: Independent Contractor Work Schedule: between 7am and 6pm Utah time - 40 total paid hours per week with 1 unpaid hour for break. Responsibilities
Prepare, examine, and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with established financial standards and regulations. Develop, implement, and maintain financial data bases, computer software systems, and manual filing systems. Prepare and analyze budgets, comparing budgeted costs to actual costs. Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to project future revenues and expenses. Provide strategic financial recommendations based on financial analysis. Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies, ensuring all required documentation is available and compliant. Collaborate with management teams to provide insights and data-driven financial decisions. Stay updated with the latest financial and tax regulations and ensure the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in accounting software and tools. Excellent analytical and numerical abilities. Strong ethical standards and integrity in professional conduct. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Highly Regarded Skills and Experience
Experience in financial accounting for international or specific country clients. Advanced knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks, Freshbooks, MYOB, etc. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA). Familiarity with financial regulations and standards of specific countries or regions. Experience in conducting internal and external audits.
