As a Regional Accountant – North America, you will be contributing to Infobip’s organizational efficiency, financial health and success by collectively participating in the implementation of strong accounting internal controls and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with local and global regulations, and providing valuable accounting inputs for senior management’s decision-making. The position will communicate and coordinate, as needed, with external & internal stakeholders. This position reports to the Regional Head of Finance – North America who is based in Chicago. We are looking for an energetic, self-sufficient, problem-solving, solution-oriented, reliable individual who will be able to achieve individual goals as well as contribute to both regional & HQ corporate goals. You’ll have the opportunity to work with other global team members incl. our HQ corporate partners – especially during month-end close – and a variety of cross-functional departments (incl. support and Ops teams) where regional accounting expertise is required. Ultimately, the Regional NAM Senior Accountant will ensure books are closed accurately and within close calendar target dates. Key responsibilities: Post all journal entries needed for daily and monthly reconciliation tasks (incl. key month-end close processes) and ensure they are properly recorded in general ledger accounts Participate in the accurate and timely close of accounting books Oversee accounts payable and receivable transactions and ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments Familiarity with intercompany transactions, fixed assets, and prepaid/accrual accounting Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations for different entities Participate in the preparation and creation of basic financial reports, statistical reports, final accounts and other company reports Conduct variance analysis for a variety of reports such as P&L, revenue, and COS reports Assist with audits (internal and external), provide documentation and address auditor inquiries in a timely manner Contribute to strict internal controls, continuous improvement initiatives, policy development, and system enhancements to support organizational growth and regional effectiveness Collaborate with regional or corporate / HQ departments on any financial matters or any ad hoc projects Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required Minimum + years of related work experience Strong understanding and practical knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) – especially US GAAP – and financial regulations Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including the use of pivot tables, functions ( VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, CONCATENATE), formulas ( SUM, COUNT, AVERAGE), and financial modeling. Experience with major Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle NetSuite, or QuickBooks .
