Title: Business Solutions Support Associate At Scotiabank, we're committed to delivering innovative technology solutions that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. We're seeking a talented Business Solutions Support Associate to join our ScotiaTech team in Bogota, Colombia. Purpose: The successful candidate will contribute to the overall success of Global Payment Technology by onboarding new customers and supporting applications that deal with managed file transfers, serving as a gateway for Scotiabank customers. Accountabilities: - Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. - Demonstrate expertise in using Unix, AIX, and Windows Operating Systems. - Familiarity with backend XML schemas and communication protocols (SFTP, FTPS, AS2, Connect Direct) is a significant value-add. - Knowledge of Java programming is highly valued. - Conduct thorough testing of new software releases to ensure seamless implementation without impacting existing code bases. - Develop strong relationships with team members and stakeholders through effective oral and written communication skills. - Cultivate critical thinking and information processing abilities to break down complex problems. - Demonstrate a true team player attitude, valuing diverse perspectives and opinions. - Provide exceptional customer support, troubleshooting issues while onboarding clients to our platform. - Stay up-to-date with new technologies and provide production support during business hours and off-hours pager duty, at least one week per month. - Maintain system performance, troubleshoot, and resolve errors in a timely manner. - Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver core business and regulatory solutions. - Understand and apply Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Pursue efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring adherence to business controls and meeting obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk. - Contribute to a high-performance environment and an inclusive work culture. Education / Experience / Other Information: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Sciences, or related field. - 2-3+ years of experience in application support or customer support applications. - Working knowledge of communication protocols is essential. - Experience building web services and SOAP requests is a plus. - Familiarity with different data formats like JSON and XML is required. - Ability to perform production support and willingness to carry a pager for off-hours support, at least one week per month. - Excellent English verbal and written communication skills are necessary. - High tolerance for ambiguity and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. - Working experience with Agile delivery methodologies is highly valued. #Li-Hybrid Location(s): Colombia : Bogota : Bogota Scotiabank is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
