**Requisition ID**: 212650 We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaTech.. **Purpose** **Accountabilities** - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Driving conceptual, leading to executable Solution Architectures - Participating in design discussions focused on scalability, design and implementation of best practices. - Present and leverage technical information and solutions in a way that establishes trust relationships, persuades stakeholders and achieves understanding and consensus at all levels. - Assess and analyze business strategy & requirements, the current technical environment and technology options to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business needs and bank strategy. - Participating in project planning and review sessions. - Leading architectural design sessions. - Driving innovation that can bring business values, participating in building Proof of Concepts - Assisting senior management to enforce standards and methodology; ensuring solutions are in line with the technology roadmap and mentoring the technical team members on a project to project basis. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporate into in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Dimensions** - Global Fraud - Corporate Security - Crisis Management. **Education / Experience / Other Information** - 7+ years of software engineering industry experience. - Bachelor (equivalent or higher) degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline. - Good knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Spring boot, Node.js, Java, JavaScript, C# (background in development) - Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps. - Experience in modernizing legacy systems or similar transformational initiatives - Strong technical background (i.e. ability to read/write code) including API design - Awareness of how scalable, secure, enterprise-level software system is designed (both on code and infrastructure levels). - Experience in high volume, high complexity online systems needing integration across multiple technologies and consumers. - Hands-on technical working experience in the system analysis, design, architecture of complex, multi-tier development & production environments - Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries, build relationships, and achieve broader organizational goals. - Attention to detail, high standards for quality. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills with the ability to build and foster relationships with business partners, project stakeholders, strategic technology partners and external vendors. - Experience in the banking industry is an asset. - B2+ level of English. **Working Conditions** Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
