Champions a customer focusedculture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bankrelationships, systems and knowledge. 2. Responsible for building,analyzing and manipulating large amounts of data to create a dataarchitecture that leads to the creation of functional reports forall levels from staff to board members in an accurate and periodicor ad hoc manner. 3. Developing and monitoring data quality metricsand providing strong reporting and analytical information supportto the management team in GBS. This includes identifying processimprovements for increasing business efficiency and effectiveness.4. Provide support and maintenance to existing data architectureand internal reporting. Furthermore, make recommendations to updatecurrent MIS to improve data quality (efficiency, consistency,accuracy, reliability, etc). 5. Maintain awareness of bestpractices in the field of Data Analytics and adopt a continuouslearning model to reflect the quality of work that is produced forGBS. 6. Participate in cross-functional meetings to providecustomer support and assistance in issue troubleshooting andresolution. 7. Create and improve automated processes for thedifferent operations. 8. Understand how the Bank’s risk appetiteand risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities anddecisions. 9. Actively pursue effective and efficient operations oftheir respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring theadequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day businesscontrols to meet obligations with respect to operational,compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. 10. Champion a highperformance environment and contribute to an inclusive workenvironment. Education / Experience 1. A recognized undergraduatedegree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, MIS or a relateddiscipline, along with 3+ years of practical experience in BusinessIntelligence and Analytics fields is required. 2. Englishproficiency (minimum B1+ level), should be able to communicateduring meetings. 3. The incumbent must also have skills andexperience in the use of statistical and analytical tools such as Python, SQL Server, SQL Management, SQL Server IntegrationServices; Excel, Access and Power BI is a Plus. The incumbent mustbe able to demonstrate successful development of value-addreporting and analysis in previous roles and explain the benefitthis brought to the organization. 4. The incumbent must have goodknowledge and experience of reporting and analysis, development ofKPIs and industry best practice of analytics. 5. The incumbent mustbe a creative, results-oriented, and highly motivated individualwith very good analytical skills in order to apply this knowledgeto identify key business drivers, formulate business rules andwrite calculations for the development of KPIs and otherindicators. 6. Further, the incumbent must possess very goodinterpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively workwith other team members and business owners both in English and Spanish. 7. The incumbent should have knowledge and experience indata mining, construction of predictive models and data modeling.Working Conditions Work in a standard office-based environment;non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
