Job Title: Strategic Retail Manager Retail Channel Growth Expertise This role oversees the development and growth of retail channels, focusing on strategic vision, commercial growth planning, and effective execution to drive long-term impact. - Develop a forward-looking perspective to identify trends that enhance brand and category strategy, staying one step ahead of customer, shopper, and consumer needs. - Identify channel-category growth drivers and translate them into 3-year business plans, integrating with shopper development and revenue growth management drivers for aligned commercial strategies. - Determine whitespace opportunities for DIAGEO brands in category plans (innovation, format, usage occasion) to fuel future growth in the channel. - Create salesforce-facing stories to support brand initiatives through a category lens, leading the development and delivery of channel planning and macro-planner documents. - Establish and regularly update the 'Picture of Success' for channels, based on sales drivers and ecosystems (physical and digital), ensuring category and brand strategy execution. - Prioritize and align the Picture of Success objectives with the sales effectiveness team for reflection in performance evaluation and reward systems. - Develop growth playbooks (PDE and execution guidelines) by channel and segment. - Define investments within commercial agreements based on key channel-category growth drivers in each customer. - Optimize return on investment for the channel, ensuring performance management (P&L; and return on investment). About You: - Bachelor's degree in business administration, industrial engineering, or related fields. - Proven ability in trade marketing and commercial roles in traditional channels. - Strong understanding of distribution channels and go-to-market strategies and models. - Experience in budget management and P&L; ownership and strategic planning. - Knowledge and management of sales and financial performance indicators. - Sophisticated proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel. Capabilities & Skills: - Commercial Strategy: Strong understanding of brand building, customer marketing, and category growth frameworks. - Analytical Thinking: Ability to synthesize data into strategy (Nielsen, Kantar, ISCAM, shopper studies). - Influence & Storytelling: Strong commercial storytelling to influence internal and external collaborators. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Experience working across sales, marketing, insights, and customers. - Agility & Execution: Can handle multiple projects, adapt to market shifts, and activate plans through others. - Channel Expertise: Deep knowledge of Colombia's Traditional retail.
