Requisition ID: 219235 We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaGBS Position: Hire & Onboarding Consultant, Global HR Operations & Operational Effectiveness (Level 5) Purpose Contributes to the overall success of the Global HR Operations globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Accountabilities • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. • Support in the contribution of opportunities for improvement in the process and effectiveness of delivering project objectives and goals. • Monitors and triages requests received via our Case Management System to ensure responses are provided with established SLAs. • Liaise with partners to maintain the integrity of the ScotiaContractor and ensure accuracy of data input within Fieldglass and Employee Central. • Provide support to Hiring Managers and Local HR teams globally for contingent worker onboarding, offboarding and management. • Drives the internal auditing initiatives to ensure data accuracy and integrity of contingent worker records. • Assist with complex inquiries related to contingent workers, resolve escalated inquiries, and provide coverage for overflow work when required. • Assist the advisors with complex employee inquiries pertaining to recruiting & onboarding, resolve escalated inquiries and provide coverage for overflow work when required. • Train new team members on processes and procedures and improve the training experience by updating training guides and job aids as necessary. • Seek opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, and propose recommendations to Managers and Senior Manager, Hire & Onboarding. • Partner and connect regularly with Hiring Managers and Local HR teams globally to keep providing a high-quality service. • Assure proper documentation creation and updates based on program changes and needs. • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Reporting Relationships (Job Titles only) Primary Manager: (include secondary Manager if applicable) Manager, Hire & Onboarding Direct Reports: NA Dimensions • Coordinates and administers onboarding and offboarding activities for Contingent Workers • Responsible for meeting established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) • Ensures business continuity for accountabilities under purview, ensuring coverage 5 days/week in assigned schedule. Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role) • Post-Secondary Degree in Human Resources or Business or pursuing an education in a related field. • At least 1-year of relevant experience in resolving customer service requests or HR related experience • Knowledge of employee data administration and end-to-end processes. • Strong knowledge of the Bank’s HRIS systems. • Deep understanding and knowledge of Bank policies and procedures. • Strong proficiencies with Microsoft Office. • Previous auditing experience is an asset. • Experience leading program initiatives is an asset • Strong knowledge of the Bank’s onboarding policies and procedures. • Strong proficiencies with Fieldglass • Proven teamwork capabilities; strong relationship management and interpersonal skills. • Attentive to details and deadlines; ability to manage multiple priorities. • Experience with transaction processing and data management. • Experience in conflict/issue resolution. Working Conditions Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
