**Job title**:Wolfram Technology Engineer **Responsibilities** - Diagnosing and resolving customer software and programming issues - Researching required information using available resources - Following standard processes and procedures - Identifying and escalating priority issues per client specifications - Creating and updating internal and customer-facing knowledgebase content as needed - Reviewing and improving existing training materials - Designing, creating and preparing custom training materials on specialized topics - Delivering training to individuals or groups of customers and employees remotely or in person - Writing, analyzing, reviewing and rewriting standard Wolfram Language programs and build models using Wolfram System Modeler following provided specifications - Performing revision, repair or expansion of existing programs/models to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements - Documenting program/model design, usage instructions and work progress - Testing and correcting programs/models - Developing expertise in and expanding understanding of existing and forthcoming Wolfram technologies **Qualifications** - Proficiency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills - Bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field - Excellent problem-solving skills - Programming experience in one or several programming languages - Research experience/teaching experience - Open-minded to explore new fields - Desire and drive to learn and self-educate - Self-motivated and self-disciplined - Able to articulate ideas and instructions - Desire to work with clients on a daily basis **Preferred qualifications** - Master’s or PhD degree in a technical or scientific field - Data science, statistics and/or machine learning experience - Web development experience - Graphical user interface design experience - Applied mathematics expertise - Mathematical finance or economics expertise - Wolfram Language programming skills - Modelica experience or system modeling skills - Parallel programming experience - Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese **Job type**: Full time (40 hours per week)/Independent Contractor **Reporting to**:Manager of Wolfram Technology Group Wolfram is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at its company.
