Position Summary The Gallagher Corporate Communications Team is looking for an Internal Communications Specialist who will be responsible for supporting internal communications through multiple distribution channels. This role will report to the Director of Communications to provide communications and technical support for various initiatives including corporate emails, SharePoint management, writing/editing, content creation, and communications tracking. This role will help drive consistent communication practices for all the business partners they support. How you'll make an impact Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Write and/or edit communications based on stakeholder request, including understanding audiences, business need, and writing with audience focus. Manage SharePoint requests including design elements of pages, imagery and/or business site requests. Responsible for scheduling and distribution of assigned communications, including emails and newsletters that may involve coordinating and editing of layouts and designs. Help manage shared email mailboxes with day-to-day needs from clean-up to helping answer questions that get submitted. Ensures standard communication documentation and templates are created and stored in an organized way ( SharePoint and/or Teams); creating an ‘ease of use’ framework for Communications. Formats/packages and organizes assets prior to delivery to audiences. Ensures all communication deliverables are in alignment with Gallagher brand guidelines. Collaborates with various internal stakeholders to support assigned projects and requests. Manages or assists in special communications efforts or internal events as they occur throughout the year including content development and other support. Proactively shares assets and best practices for others to use across the team. Supports various communication and change management efforts as assigned, including but not limited to: Creation or editing of PowerPoint presentations. Writing and/or editing of various assets in support of projects, publications or communications. Support planning and execution of focus groups and/or governance meetings. Administers and collects feedback for varied projects, may include surveys. Collects and analyzes survey data. Escalates issues to manager, as needed. About you Requirements: Bachelor’s degree Minimum 3 years directly applicable experience in communication writing, development, planning and/or editing of content Experienced in, and ability to write and edit basic communications for varied audiences Good proofreading skills a plus Focus on internal communications vs. marketing/external background Proficient in using MS Office applications with key strengths in PowerPoint Med/high skill level in PowerPoint – creating and editing decks, formatting, graphics, etc. Ability to independently manage light to medium load/complexity projects Able to create basic work plans, update spreadsheets, schedule meetings, create agendas, and follow up on deliverables Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong consulting and analytical skills with the ability to assess business and human performance goals and gaps using both qualitative and quantitative factors Excellent presence and ability to build and sustain professional relationships at all levels of the organization Proven business and financial acumen Team player, good at collaborating Fast learner, self-starter Driven, flexible, can handle a fast-paced and ever-changing environment Prior experience in the financial services or insurance brokerage industry is a plus Work Traits: Able to facilitate in person and distance communications meetings in an effective and engaging way.
