Job Description This is a remote position. Role Name: Accounts Receivable & Bookkeeping Specialist Schedule: 35 hours/week Monday to Friday, Flexible schedule within the client's timezone Pacific Time Zone Client Timezone: Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT)
We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable & Bookkeeping Specialist to join our client's finance team in a role that combines collections expertise with comprehensive bookkeeping responsibilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to directly impact business growth by optimizing cash flow through effective accounts receivable management. Initially focused on streamlining collections processes and managing customer relationships, the role has clear potential to expand into full-cycle bookkeeping as you demonstrate success. You'll work with an impressive portfolio of hospitality clients while maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and professional communication. Responsibilities Drive accounts receivable efficiency through proactive management of customer payments and collections Develop and maintain professional relationships with hospitality clients while ensuring timely payment collection Execute daily payment tracking and follow-up communications with past-due accounts Process and reconcile incoming payments using QuickBooks Maintain accurate AR aging reports and customer account records Perform monthly bookkeeping tasks including expense classification and financial record maintenance Support year-end tax preparation by maintaining organized documentation Conduct periodic inventory adjustments and ledger updates Generate detailed financial reports for management review Collaborate with the internal team to improve financial processes and procedures
Requirements Proven experience working with U.S.-based companies and understanding of U.S. accounting standards MUST HAVE A WINDOWS OS COMPUTER Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and financial management software Demonstrated success in accounts receivable management and collections Experience preparing financial documentation for tax purposes Professional written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to work Pacific Time Zone business hours Experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry preferred Remote work experience with demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records Comfortable using secure remote desktop environments and financial systems
