Job Description This is a remote position. Role Name: Bookkeeper Schedule: 20+ hours per week. Flexible hours, though if available to talk during central business hours, that would be helpful. Flexible scheduling available Client Timezone: CDT Join a dynamic performing arts organization as a remote bookkeeper, where you'll play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of a renowned boys choir. This position offers the opportunity to work with multiple revenue streams, including performance income and charitable donations, while utilizing modern financial tools and systems. You'll be instrumental in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's mission through precise bookkeeping and accounting practices. Scope : Minimum 20 hours per week Remote position with flexible scheduling options Initial short-term project with potential for ongoing work Direct reporting to Finance Operations Director Collaboration with external CPA firm Focus on income management and allocation processes Responsibilities : Manage daily QuickBooks operations and transactions Process and categorize multiple income streams from various sources Reconcile income and expense allocations Work with Bill.com integration for expense management Support donor management through accurate financial record-keeping Handle income categorization and allocation across multiple revenue sources Maintain accurate books for reporting to CPA firm Requirements Proven experience with QuickBooks Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles Experience with Bill.com or similar accounting software integrations Knowledge of non-profit accounting practices preferred Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong English communication skills Ability to work independently and remotely Benefits Permanent work from home Immediate hiring Steady freelance job Please note that since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection.
