The anticipated salary range for hire is $59,592.00 - $87,505.60 annually based on experience. the top of the range for salary advancement is $101,296.00. classes in this series perform a wide variety of unskilled, semi-skilled, and skilled work in all phases of the operation, maintenance, repair, and light construction activities associated with wastewater collection systems, wastewater treatment, and wastewater disposal systems; and perform other related work as required per the state water resources control board (swrcb) regulatory board permits (title 23 of the california code of regulations). incumbents may work in one or more of the following areas: wastewater collection systems; wastewater treatment operations; disposal, discharge and/or reclamation; wastewater storage operations, pump stations, force mains, and associated systems to ensure regulatory discharge and/or reclaimed water discharge requirements are met. the wastewater utilities division seeks professional individuals who can perform as wastewater systems workers in the i through iii level with a passion for public service and who enjoy working in this field. the ideal candidate will have experience operating advanced water reclamation facilities and sewer collections systems with autonomous operational decision-making to meet pre-set operating parameters. the ideal candidate will also possess strong collaboration, communication, and organization skills and strong initiative, which will be key components to the position's success. the position requires a strong commitment to workplace safety activities, pr...
